Hemingway joined the Tigers in August 24 as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations/Special Assistant to the Head Coach. A Memphis native, she returns after a decorated collegiate career. She spent her final three seasons at West Virginia where she was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. While with the Mountaineers, Hemingway scored in double-figures 15 times while pouring in a career-best 20 points at Kansas State in her senior campaign.
Prior to West Virginia, Hemingway started her collegiate career in Starkville where she made appearances in 24 games as a true freshman. Hemingway played big parts in the team's win over then No. 16 Texas A&M where she played the majority of the fourth quarter as Mississippi State overcame an 11-point deficit and outscored the Aggies 26-8 in the final frame of play.
The 2019 Gatorade Tennessee Player of the Year, Hemingway was a four-time TWSA All-State performer at Houston High School and finished her prep career as the all-time leading scorer with 2,599 points. She helped lead the team to back-to-back Class AAA State Runner-Up finishes and ended her senior season averaging 22.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 1.9 assists per game.
A four-star recruit by espnW and top-100 guard for the class of 2019, Hemingway was selected to play for Team USA in the World University Games where she helped the team to a silver medal. She averaged 6.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game during the event and was one of two newcomers to average more than 20 minutes per game.
