McNeese State University picked up its first win of the season on Sunday, November 20, topping Southern University-New Orleans of the NAIA by a 96-73 score.
   Â
In the game, in which McNeese out-scored SUNO in both halves, the Cowboys put four in double-figure scoring, and two more with nine points. Leading the way was Kalob Ledoux off of the bench with 15 points, while Jarren Greenwood and A.J. Brown each scored 13. Stephen Ugochukwu had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Jamaya Burr narrowly missed one of his own with nine points and a game-high eight assists.
  Â
This year the Cowboys put four players in a double-figure scoring average, led by Burr at 14.3 points per game. Kalob Ledoux averages 14.0 points per game as one half of the Ledoux twins (the other is Jacob that averages 6.0 points per game), with James Harvey and Greenwood averaging 11.7 and 10.3 points per game, each.
  Â

Current McNeese assistant coach David Dumars was a two-time All-Pro safety for the Denver Broncos, and is the older brother of McNeese graduate, and NBA legend Joe Dumars. Additionally, the Cowboys have a set of twins (Kalob and Jacob Ledoux) on the team.
