Head coach April Jauregui
"There's a reason why they are a top-20 team. They have seven seniors on their squad, and they play steady. There's not a lot of weaknesses on their side. I told our team that when we play someone like Wichita State, it's about relying on our strengths and not picking out their weaknesses because they don't have a lot. Daija came out and was able to swing high over their blocks, and she's just a freshman. Brianna had another solid match. We get another chance to play them again in two days in front of a couple of thousand fans at their place. That is where we're striving to get to.
Â
"Coming off last weekend, we were playing some good volleyball. Our young kids are getting better and better, and the future is very bright."
Â
(On the seniors)
"We wanted to them all out there today. It's tough the way it ended for their careers today. The seniors made big contributions to the program, and we're going to miss them."
