Memphis Hosts Charlotte and Temple This Weekend

Memphis, Tenn. – The University of Memphis volleyball team will return to the Larry O. Finch Center, hosting Charlotte on Friday at 6 p.m. and Temple on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be available to stream on ESPN+.
The Tigers are looking to get back in the win column after back-to-back losses last weekend to Florida Atlantic and South Florida.
Memphis has accumulated 691 kills this season, led by Hannah Jones with 163. Tiffany Snook and Clara Bednarek follow behind with 104 kills so far.
Memphis averages 9.14 assists per set, led by Jordan Heatherly, who has recorded 501 assists on the season. Heatherly has also tallied 26 aces and leads the AAC. Memphis leads the conference averaging 1.82 aces per set.
Abigail Schlueter leads Memphis with 4.16 digs per set, placing her third in the AAC. Schlueter has 223 digs on the season. Bednarek brought a huge presence at the net last weekend getting her hands on six blocks.
Charlotte (4-13, 1-3) is coming off a five-set victory over UTSA, breaking their six-game losing streak. The Niners are led by both Outside Hitters Kristen Birmingham and Jessica Ricks. Birmingham has accumulated 206 kills and 151 digs so far, while Ricks has tallied 154 kills. Charlotte is ranked fourth in the conference in aces, with 106 on the season.
Temple (7-9, 1-3) is coming into the weekend off a 3-0 sweep over Florida Atlantic. The Owls are led by Taylor Davenport, who leads the conference in kills with 237. Temple leads the conference in blocks, averaging 2.55 blocks per set.
