Tigers Close Out Regular Season Against Rice and Tulsa

Memphis, Tenn. – The University of Memphis volleyball team will travel to play at Rice on Friday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. and come back to the Larry O. Finch Center for their home finale on Sunday, Nov. 17 against Tulsa at 1 p.m. Both matches will be available to stream on ESPN+.
Memphis has accumulated 1,227 kills this season, led by Hannah Jones with 310 so far. Tiffany Snook follows behind with 196, while Clara Bednarek has tallied 191.
Memphis averages 11.84 assists per set, led by Jordan Heatherly, who has recorded 910 assists on the season. Heatherly has also tallied 38 aces and is second in the AAC. Memphis leads the conference, averaging 1.74 aces per set.
Defensively, Abigail Schlueter leads Memphis with 4.12 digs per set, placing her fourth in the AAC. Schlueter has 391 digs on the season.
Rice (17-6, 12-2) is on a six-game win streak coming into the weekend. The Owls are led by Outside Hitters Samarah Hill with 246 kills and Cindy Tchouangwa with 195 kills. Rice as a team is ranked first in hitting percentage with .238 and kills, averaging 14.04 a set.
Tulsa (17-9, 9-5) is coming into the weekend off back-to-back wins over East Carolina and Charlotte. The Golden Hurricane are led by Outside Hitter Tatum Tornatta with 256 kills and Libero Marta Pecalli with 457 digs. Pecalli leads the conference in digs, averaging 4.81 per set.
