Jan 26, 2025 | Rifle
OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 13 University of Memphis rifle team fell on the road at No. 6 Ole Miss, 4725-4698, Sunday in Oxford, Mississippi. The Rebels (9-4) beat the Tigers (4-8) in smallbore, 2347-2323, and in air rifle, 2378-2375.
"We had some really good individual performances this weekend in both disciplines," Memphis head coach Morgan Phillips said. "There were multiple team members who shot personal bests, including Kenlee (Ewton) breaking 590 in smallbore for the first time.
"There is more depth on this team than we've ever had and we're seeing that with so many strong individual performances every week. Having a couple of weeks before we compete next will be a great opportunity to work on building more consistency and putting all of these strong performances together on the same day."
