Memphis Volleyball Travels to Ole Miss

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis volleyball heads south to face Ole Miss on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+ at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center.
SCOUTING THE MEMPHIS TIGERS
Memphis (7-2) is on the road for the second time this season after going undefeated at the Carrie Yerty Classic. The Tigers defeated Chattanooga, Lamar and UT Martin to keep the home streak alive with six wins.
Two Tigers earned American Conference's weekly honors with Amanda Hardt received Offense Player of the Week and Maddy Bach with Setter and Freshman of the Week. Hardt lead the Tiger's offense with 81 kills and 88.5 points during the weekend, highlighted with a career high of 31 kills and 33 points- most kills and points in the American and DI in a four-set match.
SCOUTING THE REBELS
Ole Miss (4-3) is coming off a sweep of Louisiana after dropping a five-set road match at Miami. The Rebels have won three of their last four matches and are 2-0 at home this season. Outside hitter Gabi Placide paced the offense last week with 28 kills and 32 points, while Shayla Meyer added 21 kills, 16 digs and 28.5 points across two matches.
Setter Mokihana Tufono ranks fifth in the SEC with 269 assists, averaging 9.96 assists per set. Libero Cammy Niesen anchors the defense, ranking eighth in the league with 111 digs and an average of 4.11 per set.
THE SERIES AGAINST THE REBELS
Tuesday marks the 66th meeting between Memphis and Ole Miss. The Tigers last faced the Rebels in 2018, earning a 3-2 road victory. Ole Miss leads the all-time series in Oxford, 15-11.
