COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Memphis (2-1-0) men's soccer team fell on the road against No. 22 Ohio State (3-0-0) Friday night in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

After holding the Buckeyes at bay in the first half, a red card reduced the Tigers to 10 players and increased pressure from Ohio State, Memphis conceded from the penalty spot and the run of play.

KEY MOMENTS

5' – Goalkeeper Noah Kasin was active early, having to spring up to record his first save in the opening minutes.
10' – Off a loose ball from a corner kick, Henrique Cruz nearly pinballed a shot past Ohio State's Patrick McLaughlin while utilizing a deflection through a crowded box.
22' – Memphis defender Ethan Cook picked up an early caution, receiving a yellow card on a dangerous tackle.
42-44' – Towards the end of the half, Ohio State strung a pair of chances together on a breakaway, with Ryan Hannosh's shot being blocked and the ensuing shot by Josue Youta going off the mark.
44' – North Carolina again did not go away quietly as a long pass by Nick Lockermann ended up the tangled feet of Jace Donawa and a Memphis defender, with Donawa skipping a shot in to push the match to 3-2.
