MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis (4-1-0) men's soccer team mounted a second-half comeback to win 3-1 over UNC Asheville (2-1-1) Friday night at the Track & Soccer Complex.

A defensive mistake allowed the Bulldogs to take a lead going into the first half. Coming out of the break, Memphis played scrappy but clean, scoring all three of its goals within the span of 10 minutes.

KEY MOMENTS

21-23' – Early on, the Tigers outpaced UNC Asheville with six shots going into the hydration break, including three within three minutes.
29' – A Bulldog counterattack resulted in a blocked shot by Tyler Ware that ricocheted over to Arnor Hardarson, who put UNC Asheville on the board first.
54 – Aggressive play continued into the second half with a high cleat resulting in a yellow card for UNC Asheville's Kayoum Mbamba.
68' – Starting in the 68^th minute, pressure started to mount with Eben McIntyre supplying a pair of shots before a Bulldog throw-in halted play shortly.
71' – Out of the restart, Memphis sprung wide on the right side, with a cross by Dino Stavros being headed over by Miller Lashlee to Carson Banham, who finished the shot with a wide-open net.
