Stavros Named Defensive Player of the Week; Lashlee, Kasin Named Honorable Mentions

IRVING, Texas – The University of Memphis men's soccer program had three players earn recognition with the American Conference's weekly honors. Dino Stavros was named the Defensive Player of the Week, with Miller Lashlee and Noah Kasin both being listed as weekly honorable mentions.
Stavros, a senior from Atlanta, Georgia, logged the first assist of his career in a 5-1 win over Butler last Monday, before adding a pair in Memphis' 3-1 comeback win over UNC Asheville, including assisting on the game-winning goal.
Lashlee showed what made him an All-Freshman Team selection last year, scoring three goals and potting two assists in Memphis' two matches. The Byhalia, Mississippi native recorded a brace against Butler and had a pair of assists on Memphis' first and third goals against UNC Asheville. He is currently tied with Renan Syrio for the team lead in points with eight.
Kasin picked up a pair of wins against the Bulldogs, both Butler and UNC Asheville, recording five saves and eclipsing 100 saves in his career.

Memphis heads back on the road for its final game before American Conference play begins, facing the Furman Paladins on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. CT. The Paladins came into the season as the No. 2 team in the country after making a run to the College Cup last season.
