Memphis Set for Senior Night Match Against UNC Asheville

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team returns home after a short road spell to host UNC Asheville on Friday at 7 p.m.
The match will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Jeff Brightwell on the call, with Memphis' senior class being honored prior to the match.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Memphis (3-1-0) enters the match after bouncing back from a Friday night loss to now No. 4 Ohio State with a 5-1 win over Butler on Monday. The Tigers currently sit second in the American and have a top 20 RPI, sitting at exactly 20th in the nation.
Memphis' offensive output has vastly improved from last season, with the 2026 Tigers already over halfway to last season's goal total, currently with 10 compared to last season's 19. That includes four Tigers (Eben McIntyre, Miller Lashlee, Carson Banham, Renan Syrio) with a pair of goals on the year. Syrio and McIntyre also lead in point production with six and five points, respectively. A strong performance against Butler came from transfer midfielder Thomas Mancuso, who picked up a pair of assists in his first start of the season.
Memphis' defender and holding midfielder positions have been a strong piece of consistency, as Junior Saint Juste, Marko Stajnko, Ethan Cook and Henrique Cruz have all surpassed the 300-minutes-played mark through four matches.
In net, Noah Kasin has put together a consistent start, holding a 1.25 goals-against-average with 11 saves, facing over 12 shots per game on the year.

UNC Asheville (2-0-1) sits unbeaten on the year with a 1-0 win over Northern Kentucky and a 15-0 win over Division III Warren Wilson College, along with a 1-1 draw against then No. 3 Furman on Aug. 24.
Prior to its contest against Warren Wilson College, Lennart Granzow and Tyler Ware scored UNC Asheville's goals against Division I opponents. After Tuesday's match, a total of five players are sitting with multiple goals and seven have at least four points on the year. Out of the group of players with multiple goals, Ware is the only one to have started all three matches. Ware, a former UNLV transfer, was also named to the 2026 Big South Preseason Players to Watch List.
All three goalkeepers have appeared this season, with Lucca Barros starting all three matches, recording 11 saves on 31 shots faced. In the early stages of the season, he carries a 0.45 goals-against-average with a 91.7 save percentage.
Including Barros in net, only four Bulldog players have played at least 200 of a possible 270 minutes through three matches.
